The Administrative Assistant is a part-time position that provides administrative support to the Dean and staff of International Programs. This position also serves as the first point of contact for prospective students, parents, and study abroad offices at sending institutions.
This hourly position has a hiring range of 19.90-22.39, is benefits eligible and has an expected weekly schedule of 19-20 hours.
Requirements
Position Prerequisites:
Bachelor's degree required.
1-3 years' experience working in an office environment, preferably in higher education, using a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive products, and student application and student record software.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, including budget and student academic information.
Ability to organize tasks and follow through on projects.
Ability to prioritize essential tasks, take initiative and have good decision-making skills.
Ability to write clearly and concisely.
Ability to work in fast-paced, independent environment with minimal supervision.
Ability to work cooperatively with others and accept direction from supervisor.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Occasional evening and weekend work for special events. Requires work to be done in person and on site; not eligible for hybrid or work from home. Sitting at a computer for 4-6 hours. Periodic walking to other campus locations.
