The Esports coach is required to create internal competitions at Harvey as well as competitions with other schools. Class curriculum can include skill development, running drills, and practicing strategic maneuvers to maximize success.The afterschool program runs in 90 minute sessions Monday through Friday starting Monday, December 5, 2023 and ending Friday, February 16, 2024.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Teach and develop course curricula aligned to learning standards, create lesson plans with defined learning objectives, establish a safe and nutrition class environment that encourages exploration and risk taking.
Maintain attendance records
Communicate proactively with administrators concerning student engagement and performance.
Supervise activities while ensuring student safety at all times, giving direction appropriate to the activity, and modeling good behavior and citizenship.
Must be able to commit to the full ten-week program.
Minimum Qualifications
Professional experience in subject area. Bachelor’s degree in subject area preferred.
At least two years of experience as a classroom teacher preferred.
Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Positive attitude, flexible approach, and a sense of humor.
