Northeastern University-Silicon Valley is hiring one part-time Operations Assistants at its campus location within the Towers @ 2nd (4 N. Second Street and 75 E. Santa Clara Street). Individuals with evening and weekend schedule flexibility should apply.
The operations team is made up of bright, dynamic collaborators that have a direct impact on campus environment and culture. Operations Assistants provide quality reception coverage, office operations support, and ensure that students and faculty on campus are appropriately set up to conduct in-person classes. They provide welcoming and prompt service to a variety of Northeastern's community members, prospective students, and on-campus event attendees.
These are part-time/temporary positions at $22 an hour, with 20-25 hours required per week. They would start immediately and continue into January 2024, with a probable opportunity for employment extension. Candidates must be available to work weekday evenings from 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Saturdays between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and intermittent Sundays from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm.
The position is held on site (not eligible for remote work) and reports to the Campus Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
Operations Assistants will be responsible for supporting campus operations, including:
Staffing the campus for class sessions outside of standard business hours and acting as the first point of contact for a variety of stakeholders
Providing customer service to students and professors, which may include troubleshooting technical issues and assisting with classroom technology
Handling classroom and event setup, breakdown, and reconfiguration as needed
Following university and facility health and safety procedures
Acting as a liaison to authorized visitors such as students and employees from other locations, business partners, and prospective learners
Completing general office duties such as organizing files, inventories, supplies, and equipment, and maintaining the campus areas in a clean, sanitized, and stocked manner
Administrative projects as assigned
