The School of Nursing, Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Hybrid Program- Boston/Burlington Campus, is seeking part-time faculty to teach theoretical, skills laboratory and/or clinical courses in the following areas: Adult Medical/Surgical, Community Health, Maternal Child/Women's Heath, Pediatrics, and Psychiatric/Mental Health. Part-time instructor positions are available as determined by the department's curricular and institutional needs.
Responsibilities include preparation of lectures, course materials, examinations, and evaluation of student performance in the course, skills laboratory or in the clinical setting. Part- time faculty may work under the direction of the lead faculty for the course and will hold office hours as appropriate.
Requirements to teach a didactic course include a Master's Degree in Nursing, a minimum of two years' relevant professional nursing experience, and a current Massachusetts RN license.
Requirements for clinical and skills laboratory site instruction include a minimum of a BSN Degree, five years' relevant professional nursing experience in the specialty area of hire within the past eight years, and a current Massachusetts RN license.
Applicants matriculated in a graduate nursing program with an expected graduation date within five years, as well as candidates with an earned BSN Degree and an earned non-nursing graduate degree, need two years professional nursing experience in the specialty area of hire in the past five years. Previous college teaching experience within the subject area of hire is highly desirable. Start dates: May, September, and January.
