The Graduate Program Assistant to the Program Director of GSAL (Graduate Student at Large), will provide comprehensive administrative support and assist in the coordination and implementation of various graduate student programs. They will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth operation of these programs and ensure that they meet the needs of the graduate student community.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Program Director in managing day-to-day operations, including scheduling meetings and helping with correspondence.
Coordinate logistical arrangements for program events, workshops, seminars, and other activities.
Prepare and distribute program-related materials, such as agendas, presentations, and reports.
Maintain accurate records and databases related to program activities, participants, and outcomes.
Collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement strategic plans for graduate student programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and objectives.
Assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of program initiatives to attract and engage graduate students.
Coordinate with various university departments and external stakeholders to facilitate program partnerships and collaborations.
Support the Program Director in assessing program effectiveness, collecting feedback, and implementing improvements.
Facilitate effective communication among program participants, including the dissemination of important announcements and updates.
Organize workshops for incoming graduate students.
Collect and analyze data related to program outcomes, participant feedback, and student demographics.
Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing program metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
Assist in generating statistical reports and conducting evaluations to assess program effectiveness.

Education, Experience, or Certifications:
Education:

Experience:

Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, Google Workspace) and ability to learn new software platforms as required.
