Job Description:
The Massasoit Community College Nursing and Allied Health Department of Radiologic Technology seeks an Adjunct faculty member to deliver high-quality learning experiences and education for students in the Radiologic Technology. The selected candidate will have responsibilities teaching a laboratory course to undergraduates. Subject matters include in-depth knowledge and teaching of anatomy and positioning 1,2,3.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Deliver laboratory and/or experiential instruction via multiple formats (in-person, online, or in a 'blended' format) in the Radiographic Positioning and imaging
Coordinate multiple students in the lab simultaneously
Deliver Radiographic Positioning and imaging techniques that include normal and disease protocols
Provide students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies in line with those of the school, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines and evaluation criteria
Provide engaging assignments that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered
Support incorporation of diversity, equity and inclusion into the curriculum, as well as co-curricular experiences, to broaden the education of students and expand their knowledge of health disparities
Uses the College's learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students
Advises and assists students through office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference, phone, or email, and through other College-approved mechanisms
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
Focuses on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions

Adjunct Faculty are part time instructors hired on an as needed basis. Positions may consist of day, night, or weekend positions and may be in Brockton, Canton, Middleborough, or any other instructional site.

Requirements:
Associate in Science or Bachelor of Science in related health sciences
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the field of Radiologic Technology
Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in a college/university, or teaching hospital environment
In-depth understanding of Radiographic Positioning and imaging, including applying the ARRT/ASRT/JRCERT Guidelines and Standards.
Commitment to the mission of community colleges and student success
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, and healthcare industry professionals)
Preferred Requirements:
Experience teaching students in a community college setting
Graduate degree in health science, education, or related field

Position Status: MCCC/MTA position
Semester: Academic Year Fall 2023 and Spring 2024
Salary: $1,291.00 per credit, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites.
