This position provides support within academic support services at Baylor University, and is responsible for:
Teaching study skills, organizational skills, and reviewing class materials
Supporting students with transitional skills related to academics
Supplementing course instruction to assist with mastering content, navigating assignments, and preparing for assessments.
The ability to interact with a range of constituents including student-athletes and Athletics staff. The ideal candidate should have prior teaching and/or tutoring experience.
A Bachelor's Degree and a Christian faith are required. A Master's Degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience are preferred.
What You Will Do
Commit to the full semester and final exam week.
Abide by all SACE study hall policies
Attend all SACE trainings and meetings
Maintain academic integrity and abide by NCAA regulations in all sessions
Develop and maintain strong rapport with SACE by communicating in email and in person about student-athlete's academic progress
Comply with all NCAA and Baylor policies
Assist students in a designated academic subject or discipline as needed
Foster educational growth and development; identify educational needs and provide assistance as necessary
Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
Provide information and excellent customer service to constituents
Maintain a safe and supportive environment
Ability to comply with University policies
Monitor Study Hall
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
