Detailed Description: Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates direct mail and email marking campaigns pieces
Independently creates and edits physical and electronic copy marketing pieces targeting prospective applicants and current applicants - including admitted students.
Coordinates the physical and electronic mailing of marketing pieces to prospective applicants and current applicants throughout the admissions cycle. Ideally, the candidate will have some experience with html and the various email communication platforms and tools.
Student Advising and Recruitment
Counsel prospective and admitted students on USD Law programs, course offerings and scholarships.
Serve on a team of admissions and financial aid professionals representing USD at recruitment events including forums, law days, virtual office hours, pre-law panels, both in person and virtually.
Communicate with prospective and admitted students by phone and e-mail.
Counsel prospective and admitted applicants as well as enrolled students on financial aid programs and processes.
Host in-person and virtual tours of the law school and university campus
Assist in the coordination of campus events such as Campus Visit Days, Alumni-Admitted Student Receptions, Admitted Student Summer Workshop, etc.
Assist current students with basic financial aid questions, including but not limited to award packages, disbursements, refunds, and budget adjustments.
Coordinate prospective student contacts with current law students, alumni, faculty and other law school constituents as a secondary recruitment tool.
Manage records of prospective student visitors to campus using Unite enrollment system.
Process, complete and assign law school applications
Responsible for processing incomplete and complete applications. Communicating with applicants about missing or incomplete elements of their application.
Responsible for completing applications and assigning them into admissions committee member review queues. Working directly with the Assistant Director of Admissions, ensure admissions committee members maintain file review timelines during peak file review months.

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree with 3-5 years of education admissions experience required; Graduate degree with 2-3 years of education admissions experience or law-related experience may be substituted.
Demonstrated knowledge of admission procedures.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, take initiative in managing projects, develop and keep to timelines with minimal supervision required.
Experience working in a law school setting preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of financial aid policies and procedures a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is critical.
Ability to handle confidential information, exhibit good judgment, and exemplify appropriate customer service in working with students, faculty, and all levels of university staff and officials.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including effective writing and public speaking. Strong problem-solving skills expected.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in an academic or professional setting.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including word-processing, database maintenance, and subsequent data analysis. Minimum of intermediate experience with Word, Excel and MS Outlook required. Experience with web content development preferred.
Posting Salary: $25.00 per hour
