Detailed Job Description The Senior Staff Assistant - Project Coordinator position supports the AWARE-AI NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) program, funded by the National Science Foundation. The primary responsibilities will include providing administrative and operational support to the AWARE-AI Director, assisting the NRT team, and liaise with units on campus.
The Sr. Staff Assistant - Project Coordinator will work closely with the Director to manage the day-to-day operations of the NRT program, including financial tracking, metrics and reporting, working with the graduate program directors and departments of students (e.g., tracking progress toward graduation), and implementing publicity and internal/external communication, keeping website content and event schedules up to date, and supporting database content management. The Sr. Staff Assistant - Project Coodinator will also interact with student cohorts, offer logistical support for NRT training programming, work collaboratively with campus constituents such as students' departments, the Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education, RIT Graduate School, and Division of Diversity and Inclusion, and play a central role in communications, and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent experience
Two (2) - three (3) years of related office or grant project experience, preferably in higher education
Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to diversity and inclusion and respect for individual differences
Organizational skills and attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
Understanding of financial and reporting processes
Evidence of organizational as well as problem-solving and initiative-taking skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
Comfort with website and database content management, and skills in working with standard office-relevant software
