The Loomis Chaffee Boys Track and Field program has a tradition of excellence and competes against a very challenging schedule of opponents in New England. This position includes all of the associated responsibilities of managing a competitive program, such as identifying and helping to recruit mission-appropriate student-athletes, the development and management of practice/meet protocols and procedures, promoting the values of sportsmanship and leadership, working with and overseeing a large coaching staff and collaborating with the college office for those players seeking to continue their Track and Field careers in college. In addition to serving as the head boys track and field coach, a successful candidate may fill other roles on campus (such as teaching or working in an administrative role), and may live on campus, with residential life responsibilities. This position may also be filled by a fulltime employee who lives off campus and or a part time per diem coach.
This position requires an undergraduate college degree as well as significant and relevant Track and Field coaching experience. Other desired experiences include: Working in a private and/or boarding secondary school setting; experience coaching Track and Field with a school, club or collegiate program and should have experience playing at the collegiate and/or high school level.
