University Communications and Marketing provides strategic leadership to protect, advance, and elevate the university's brand and reputation in Indiana and around the world. We create guiding resources for and collaborate with communications and marketing partners across all IU campuses, schools, departments, and centers.
The Marketing Technology Internship Program ("MarTech") is a 2 year undergraduate internship experience providing students with hands-on training in relevant marketing technology sectors. The program is designed especially for minority students with the goal of moving the marketing technology industry closer to equal representation. This program runs through the University Communications and Marketing (UCM) department.
Job Summary
The MarTech Internship Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring that everyone involved in the program knows where to be and when to be there.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Attends internal meetings, program planning, and acts as a liaison between interns and staff.
Schedules internship meeting dates, times, and locations.
Schedules staff meetings with UCM staff.
Communicates with interns any programmatic updates.
Communicates with UCM staff regarding any technical, academic, or personal issues concerning the interns.
Creates and maintains a record of students' information, such as class and work schedules, shirt sizes, and contact information.
Creates presentations regarding program status.
Attends weekly meetings with the program director.
Reaches out to interns and checks in on them every two weeks.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
Currently enrolled as a graduate student at Indiana University on the Bloomington or IUPUI campus.
SKILLS
Required
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
Provide administrative support, as requested, updating project status documents, scheduling meetings/interviews, presentations, etc.
Attention to detail and time management.
Working Conditions / Demands
The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Work Location
Bloomington or Indianapolis, Indiana
This position is eligible for remote work, subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
Advertised Salary
$20 - $22 per hour based on experience.
Work Hours
8-10 hours per week.
