Job Description

EDUCATION MANAGER, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL)-Research, Education, and Training (RET) Team (Part-time, 50%), to be an integral part of the education group of the RET team and manage the MITx MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy (DEDP) programs. The education group is responsible for the management and development of the online MITx MicroMasters in DEDP as well as the Department of Economics' on-campus Master's in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy. Will also support the work on online course content creation and revision for the DEDP MicroMasters program during periods when the master's program is not in session.

J-PAL was launched at MIT in 2003 and its faculty directors are Nobel laureates and MIT professors Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo, and Ben Olken. It has over 400 research, policy, training, and operations staff across Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East, North America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a master's degree and at least six years of experience in a role managing complex projects. PREFERRED: experience supervising staff and teaching. Job #23008
