Job Summary
Responsibilities
Events: compile lists of special guests for various honorees and assist with event planning and execution.
Communications: interact with faculty and executive leadership, VPs, and administrators; greet guests and field inquiries; process monthly welcome letters to new Alliance members.
Organization: archive honors and awards data, create folders, and remove unnecessary materials and documents.
Opportunities
Gain valuable experience in fast-paced, executive administration office.
Identify ways to improve current recognition programs.
Advise office on current student trends and opportunities for more student-faculty engagement.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
SKILLS
Strong editing, research, and communication skills.
Ability to quickly shift focus and write for different audiences.
Excellent time management, execution, and prioritization skills.
Keen attention to detail with an eager, can-do attitude.
Ability to maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (including mail merge).
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Work Location
This position will be located in-person on our Indianapolis, Indiana campus.
Advertised Salary
$15 - $17 per hour.
Work Hours
10-15 hours per week.
This position will have a duration of at least one semester with an opportunity for extension based on performance.
