Job Summary
The Center for Rural Engagement Communications Media Intern will use written and visual assets to tell the story of rural Indiana and IU's collaboration with communities in the region.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Creates original written stories and features that capture campus and community initiatives.
Composes written and visual content into web-based story features.
Conducts background information gathering, photography and videography, and interviews of story subjects, which may involve in-state travel.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University pursuing a bachelor's degree.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and digital photography/videography.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Required
Valid driver's license upon date of hire.
SKILLS
Required
Knowledge of journalistic and storytelling concepts.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Strong writing and communication skills.
