CENTER FOR RURAL ENGAGEMENT (BL-CFRE-IUBLA)

The Center for Rural Engagement Communications Media Intern will use written and visual assets to tell the story of rural Indiana and IU's collaboration with communities in the region.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

• Creates original written stories and features that capture campus and community initiatives.
• Composes written and visual content into web-based story features.
• Conducts background information gathering, photography and videography, and interviews of story subjects, which may involve in-state travel.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Required

• Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University pursuing a bachelor's degree.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and digital photography/videography.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Required

• Valid driver's license upon date of hire.

SKILLS

Required

• Knowledge of journalistic and storytelling concepts.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
