The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department houses various multidisciplinary programs and services that focus on primary and secondary prevention and rehabilitation, including: - Inpatient Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation at UH/Ross/James - Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation at MMH, West Region (Ross) - Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation at UA, West Region (Ross)
- Outpatient Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation at OCE, East Region
Position Summary: This position will provide respiratory therapy diagnostic/assessment or therapeutic respiratory therapy procedures for patients in the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program and provide consultation to other programs with customers who have respiratory therapy needs. Assesses the need for, and provides diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures for customers in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and provide consultation to other programs in the Cardiac Rehab department.
This position assists in the clinical, technical, clerical and educational operations for The Cardiopulmonary Rehab Department at the Medical Center. This position would provide exceptional patient care in a group exercise and education setting for patients with lung and cardiac disease and surgical interventions such as lung volume reduction surgery, LVAD and lung/heart transplantation.
Minimum Education Required 2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in respiratory therapy Additional Education Desired Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in respiratory therapy Required Qualifications Graduate of a 2 or 4 year school of Respiratory Therapy approved by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in state of Ohio. Must comply with Ohio Respiratory Care Board Licensure laws and rules.
