Fleet Services' mission is to provide safe, reliable, cost-effective, sustainable transportation for university departments and partners. Our department is responsible for purchase, lease, maintenance, fueling, and disposal of university vehicles and equipment. We also manage a motor pool for university business travel use by university faculty, staff, and students. Fleet Services manages vendor relationships with local rental agencies for passenger vehicles, equipment, and large trucks. Fleet Services oversees two van services for student transportation needs: Disabled Student Services Van and IU Ride. Our department is a small team with impact on all campuses.
Job Summary
Ride schedules are dispatched to drivers via TransLoc On Demand software with pickup and drop off times and locations.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for picking up and dropping off students and staff who have been pre-qualified for van service access using minivans and wheelchair accessible vans.
Performs additional duties such as cleaning vehicles, providing shuttle services to staff, or transporting other vehicle types to various locations will be assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University upon date of hire

Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information
