The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
The MS Program Educational Assistant is responsible for assisting the TPRM professors in MS program courses.
Responsibilities
Assist faculty in obtaining relevant course materials and creating an archiving system that can be easily migrated from year to year
[60%] Academic and Faculty Support during instruction session (8/1/23-8/1/24)
Assist with live class, 3 hours per week
Review lecture recordings on Canvas for clarity
Review/create study guideline and questions, 1 hour per week
Host review sessions: before first exam, midterm, and final exam (about 6 hours per semester)
Answer student questions (online and via Canvas), 1 hour per week
Review any materials requested by course director such as discussion boards, papers, assignments, questions, 1 hour per week
Assist faculty with administrative aspects of courses, including but not limited to Canvas postings, scheduling and tracking assignment submissions
Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested
[20%] Academic and Faculty Support during winter and spring break
[20%] Academic and Student Support during testing
Serve to Office Disabilities Services and the faculty, and provide proctoring support as needed
Help proctor exams (first exam, midterm and final exam)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor???s degree and two (2) years of related experience
Highly effective organizational skills
Knowledge and experience with complex information and computer systems. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students
Ability to work well with a team and independently
Effective communication/presentation skills
Ability to establish realistic and achievable priorities to achieve Institute goals and objectives
Demonstrates ability to be innovative and to take initiative in a range of tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Master???s degree in a science related area
Experience in an academic health institution
Familiar with course management systems
