The Global Health Studies Program at the University of Iowa invites applications for a an 87.5% Visiting Assistant Professor position in Global Health Studies for the 2023-2024 academic year, with the potential to extend up to three years based on instructional needs and satisfactory performance. The successful candidate will have expertise in the medical humanities broadly construed, knowledge of contemporary public health practice, and the ability to teach across multiple Global Health topics including infectious disease and current international health programs. The candidate will teach an introductory survey course in Global Health (GHS:2000), along with a course in global epidemics, bioethics, and courses in the selected candidate's area of specialization. The teaching load is anticipated to be 3/4.
