Description Applicants will teach academic culture courses to graduate international students through the English as a Second Language Program. Applicants are expected to develop and implement engaging courses based on set learning outcomes and curriculum. They should evaluate students using a variety of assessment techniques that incorporate regular feedback. Instructors are expected to maintain academic records, hold office hours, and attend staff meetings. They should create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that reflects an understanding of learning styles and cultural differences.
Location: Webster Groves Campus-WEBG
Minimum Qualifications Minimum three years of experience teaching in an academic ESL/EFL setting at a university, community college, or IEP. Experience with online instruction using learning systems, such as Canvas, Blackboard, Sakai, etc. and Zoom is required. Applicants should also have demonstrated experience in the instruction of adults in one or more of the following subjects: academic writing, oral skills instruction, general study skills instruction, and academic culture.
