The Ramaz School is seeking a part-time music teacher for the 2023-2024 school year for the Early Childhood Center. We are seeking a warm and energetic Music Teacher for our school who has experience with preschool-aged children.

Key Responsibilities

• Introducing children ages 3-6 to string instruments and piano, and utilizes movement, singing, and improvisation to engage and grow their interest and musical skills.
• Developing music lesson plans in accordance with monthly curricular themes and developmentally appropriate activities. 
• Meeting the individual's needs of the children/class.
• Interacting with the children to support music through play, exploration, and learning.
• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level.
• Planning and implementing music activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with fellow staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Early Childhood Education or Music or related field
• Minimum of 1 year music experience in a licensed center or early childhood enrichment center
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Strong written and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Jewish holidays and Jewish songs

Compensation

Part-time salary will be prorated based on a full time annualized salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 commensurate with relevant experience and education.
