Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a part-time, 12-month Director of Parent Engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving educational institution with a rich history and a promising future.
The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively, specifically with the Advancement Team, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, are a must. This position will report to the Director of Development.
Position Summary:
As a collaborative member of the Advancement Team, the Director of Parent Engagement will work to connect and engage parents with the school and with each other, resulting in an increased sense of community, networking, goodwill, advocacy, and support of Maryvale, both philosophically and philanthropically.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Essential Job Functions:
Staff liaison for all parent volunteer organizations, including the Parents Association, Sports Boosters, and Friends of the Arts (FOTA), managing all aspects of their fundraising and friend-raising activities, events, and meetings.
Manage Parents Association and Sports Boosters checking accounts, including deposits, issuing checks, and reconciling accounts with Advancement and Business Offices.
Regularly connect with parents through surveys and focus groups.
Create and manage a volunteer database for all parent volunteers, including but not limited to association officers, class parents, event chairs and volunteers, Lion Bites, Dining Room, and the school store.
Serve as the Advancement Office representative for various meetings and events, such as parent coffees and class/parent social gatherings.
Form a collaborative partnership with the Admissions Associate supporting the parent ambassador program and community building for families new to Maryvale.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated proactive, self-starter who takes initiative; strong organizational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience in an Advancement Office or school setting is a plus.
Ongoing and demonstrated support for the school, administration, and community.
A willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, staff, and parents.
Ability to operate as a member of a team.
Eagerness to embrace the mission and values of Maryvale and our connection to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
Genuine enthusiasm, personal warmth, and high energy level.
Ability to manage evening and weekend responsibilities.
