Position Description
This is a part-time, term position, working at the Research Data Management Library Academy (RDMLA) and its new supplementary project the DSCPE (Data Services Continuing Professional Education). The position will be primarily responsible for working with library instructors to design and implement new course units for RDMLA and for coordinating project team meetings and retreats.
Additionally, the RDMLA Librarian assists in collecting usage data. The position works with the RDMLA leadership to develop and present papers and presentations on RDMLA for conferences, designs and maintains project materials and files, and manages the website.
Under the direction of the leadership of RDMLA co-leaders, the position is also responsible for the coordination of the DSCPE, including assisting with the recruitment of students and capstone sites, creating and distributing marketing materials, and maintaining the DSCPE websites and Canvas course site.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Designing, coordinating, and implementing new units within the RDMLA curriculum
Designing, coordinating, and implementing marketing materials for RDMLA
Maintains RDMLA project files
Maintains RDMLA website
Recruits DSCPE students and capstone sites
Designing, coordinating, and implementing marketing materials for DSCPE
Maintains DSCPE project and student and capstone files
Maintains DSCPE course site and website
Coordinates meetings for RDMLA and DSCPE project teams
Assists in writing and presenting papers at workshops and conferences
Basic Qualifications
Masters of Library Science or equivalent relevant graduate degree required
One or more years' experience in a library required
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills required
Familiarity with educational and/or library technologies required
Familiarity with project management and grants processing preferred
Experience working in teams preferred

Please also note this is a part-time, 17.5 hours (.5 FTE) per week position.
This is a two-year term position from the date of hire, with the possibility of extension, contingent upon work performance and continued funding to support the position.
This position is based in Boston and some in-person on-campus work will be required, and flexible/remote work is an option. Any remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (CA*, CT, GA, IL, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VA, VT, and WA). Individual flexible and remote work options for this role will be discussed during the interview process. *Note: Harvard employees working in California must be exempt.
