The Operations Assistant (OA) serves as the first line of contact for visitors and students at the Vancouver Campus. They will have a broad knowledge of campus operations and provide seamless service by greeting, fielding questions, and referring inquiries to appropriate staff as needed. The OA will serve as a resource and provide support services for our campus community and ensure that students and faculty are appropriately set up to conduct classes and supports event organization and hosting, both online and on-campus. They respond to requests from current and prospective students, professors, staff colleagues and event attendees, and follows up with them to ensure satisfaction, all while approaching each encounter in a courteous and service-oriented manner. The position also ensures that timely and flexible operations support is available as the campus rapidly expands its enrolment, and scales its programs and infrastructure as part of its strategic growth as part of Northeastern's regional network.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of office coordination experience. Experience in higher education is a plus. The candidate must enjoy working with diverse populations and be comfortable working independently.
The successful candidate will have outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite. Experience with Canva or other design software is preferred. Detail oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy is desired. Must be able to learn quickly in a technical environment, and operate video conferencing equipment, printers, copiers, and computers. Flexibility, a positive attitude, and commitment to excellence are vital.
