Come join our team.  We are looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and friendly Veterinarian who is team oriented and able to help our clinic grow and thrive.  Any experience level considered, however must be willing to work as part of a team.

The Atlantic Veterinary Clinic is a growing outpatient veterinary clinic located in Davenport Florida.  We are approximately 20 miles away from the theme parks in a rapidly growing region of central Florida. While the clinic is primarily small animal in nature, we do see some exotic pets and limited amounts of wildlife.   Limited emergency cases are seen.

The clinic is well equipped and is paper-light, utilizing evetpractice for our record system however we will be changing to Shepherd soon.  We are equipped with:

• Surgical (Lightcure/Aesculite) and Class IV Therapy Laser (Companion)
• Ultrasound
• Digital Radiographs and Digital Dental Radiographs
• Dental machine
• 2 oxygen concentrators
• Autoclave
• Isoflurane and sevoflurane
• Lift tables in exam rooms
• Fear Free certified Veterinarians

At the Atlantic Veterinary Clinic we are dedicated to providing our clients with excellent personalized care and customer service.  We are committed to our clients by providing information that helps them make more informed decisions about the needs of their pet’s health.  Diagnostic tests are offered for almost all cases, so the Veterinarian must be comfortable in offering, understanding, and explaining these to our clients in conjunction with the technician on staff.  At the Atlantic Veterinary Clinic we strive to hire team members that will follow the core values of the clinic which are: Honesty, Empathy, Adaptability, Respect, and Trust; and like to ensure that our clients do the same.

Hired Veterinarian must be self driven, and task oriented, as well as being willing to communicate with clients.  We have weekly meetings involving all available staff and strive to ensure that there is transparency within our clinic. 

We are looking for full, part time, or relief work.   Contract stipulates a 90 day trial period is required upon hiring to ensure a good fit with the team.

• Examine and treat sick or injured animals
• Educate the public about diseases and infections that are transferable from animals to humans 
• Promote the health and wellness of animals by advising animal owners about sanitation measures, feeding and general care
• Good communication skills
• Record actions by documenting and updating forms, reports, animal records and reporting diseases to public health officials
• Ensure compliance with veterinary procedures, ethics, policies and relevant statutes
• Operate diagnostic equipment like ultrasound and radiography machines and interpret the resulting images
• Establish or carry out quarantine or testing procedures that combat the spread of diseases to humans or to other animals according to established government regulations
• Euthanize animals in situations they see fit such as in the case of a terminal illness
• This is not an all encompassing duty list
