Our Technical Support area within Information Technology Services at Bluegrass Community and Technical College is in need of a part-time technical support technician at the Lexington campuses. This position will assist with general desktop support, trouble tickets, printer assistance, computer rotations, software installations, and general troubleshooting. In addition, this position will assist students, faculty, and staff in a lab environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills. They will also be a reliable, detail oriented, well-organized, clear speaking, hardworking, and self-motivated individual, who consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to exceed expectations in every task. The candidate must be able to work on multiple tasks at a time and be able to work both independently and within a team environment.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
High school diploma/GED.
Understanding and experience with the following is required:
Various computer hardware specifications
Computer software installations
Troubleshooting computer issues
Cleaning and maintenance of computers
Basic networking knowledge
Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding and/or experience with the following is preferable, butnot required:
Printers
Inventory management systems or spreadsheets
Computer management platforms such as SCCM
