Job Summary
The Reform for Resilience Commission and its Executive Director seeks a Program Coordinator to manage various administrative aspects of the Commission. This position is based within the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. The successful candidate will assist the Executive Director of the Reform for Resilience Commission with a wide range of duties related to global health programming, which may include coordination with donors, logistics management, program analysis, project coordination and international travel. The successful candidate will provide coordination of the research program sponsored funded by the Reckitt Global Hygiene Institute including planning and implementing events, workshops, and conferences.
Position Description
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Organizes and implements the administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties
Assists with the development of program content, materials, and program mapping and timelines
Develops applications and other information gathering forms; track data and update the Program Director with regular reports
Assists the Program Manager with the program portfolio development, which may include outreach to local governments, schools to implement surveys and pilot programs as well as program scheduling
Develops a working relationship with the donor and its international stakeholders, faculty, staff, and manages delivery and regularly informs stakeholders of program related activities and/or decisions
Negotiates with vendors for goods and services including hotels and caterers, AV/IT, and other facilities on behalf of the program
Coordinates the program evaluation plan; tracks any reporting requirements for completion
Assists in planning and implementation strategies to improve the program and its processes, policies, and procedures
Serves as the principle administrative contact and liaison between the donor (RGHI) and the Reform for Resilience Commission's Secretariat at Harvard Chan and the Department of Global Health and Population, and other administrative departments, principal source of information on compliance with School policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and regulations
Coordinates work of support staff, students, and other casuals
Monitors budget(s) including grants, maintains financial documentation, provides information, research, statistics, and analysis. Makes decisions on expenditures and incomes for the defined budget(s).
Assists the Executive Director with grant proposals in keeping with the RGHI grant award
Serves as point person on the R4R website and other IT related services to promote research activities
Performs other duties as assigned
PLEASE NOTE: This position is a part-time, benefits eligible role with a 21 hour work week. It has a term appointment of 2 years from date of hire with the possibility of extension. This is a hybrid position and this position will be based in Boston, MA. Additional detail pertaining to this position will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, California (exempt staff only), Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, Virginia, and Washington). PLEASE NOTE: International travel might be required for this position.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered
Additional Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, or equivalent of education plus relevant work experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate Excel skills
Knowledge of Word Press and Wix for on-going website updates and maintenance
Working knowledge of the Spanish language
Excellent organizational skills
Program, management, financial and budget skills/experience
Handle complex and confidential information with discretion
Excellent relationship building skills
