Job Purpose:
The Tiger Girls (TG) Dance Team Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the TG Head Coach in all aspects of the selection, training and coaching of the Tiger Girls Dance Team and their optimum performance both on the field and at public appearances.

Support prayer and spiritual formation within the student, faculty/staff, and parent communities.

The main responsibilities of coaching support will include:
Being present for Tiger Girls (TG) practices, meetings, and performances (as required by Head Coach) which may include:
Tiger Girls practice before school during the Zero period from 6:30 am – 7:40 am
Officers’ meetings
Small and select ensemble practice as needed
Collaborate on master calendar of practices, performances, events, and team socials
Help maintain and enforce dance team constitution
Help create practice schedule and oversee dance training/choreography
Assistant choreograph half-time, sideline, contest, and show routines, as needed
Polish and maintain all performance routines
Help coordinate competition schedule
Help set transportation expectations for all events
Help coordinate team meals for performance days and long workshops
Provide assistance in maintaining TG social media handles and collaborate with SAA Arts and St. Agnes social media personnel
Attend summer training camps, as needed.
Help maintain leadership development for officers throughout the year
Conduct competition research as needed
Help set the summer training schedules & oversee “Summer Dance Hours” requirement
Help Issue team uniforms with contract for care, cleaning instructions, and return policy
Help coordinate team pictures, as needed
Help maintain master attendance sheet
Help select dancers and alternates for formations and contest performances
Help organize 8th grade visit performances that take place during community time, as needed
Help prepare competition workshops, as needed
Help plan travel
Help register Tiger Girls for various regional and national competitions, as needed
Assist in the training of solos, duets, trios, and ensembles (dancers usually work on these routines independently and audition to be entered into the various contests)
Help organize awards ceremony and end of year banquet
Help oversee the tryout process of Tiger Girls and Officers
Help oversee membership requirements and completion of athletic physicals
Assist in the collection of participation paperwork for tryouts and all summer camps, as needed
Qualifications:
Commitment to embrace the mission of St. Agnes Academy
Completion of Safe Haven training
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred in dance or performance arts
Minimum of 5 years dance management/coaching experience
Extensive training in different forms of dance
Knowledgeable about physical training (kinesthetics)
Has held a leadership role on a school team (high school or college, academic/performing arts/sports-related team)
Hold a current and valid First Aid and CPR card
Familiar with today’s trends within the artform
Ability to work a flexible schedule including practices, nights, events, weekends, and traditional office hours as required
Excellent administrative, organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage a budget, prepare reports and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Professional attitude and appearance

This job operates in a professional/educational environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Work in a school dance studio setting.The duties of this position are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors. The noise level in the work environments is moderate to loud to during events.
