Job Summary:
The Kitchen and Catering Assistant assist with the preparation of food prepared in the main production kitchen for the catering orders of the day. This position packages and transports the orders to the stated destinations. This position is responsible for the set-up, cleanliness, and presentation of catering orders. This position ensures the clean breakdown and transportation of dirty dishes and leftover food from catering events back to the main production kitchen. This person is also responsible for the prep list provided by the Director of Dining Services. The Catering Assistant will follow the daily task list provided by the Director of Dining Services. This is a part-time position 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, Spring 2023 session
Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience working in a professional food service operation and demonstrate the ability to:
Excellent communication skills;
Possess the ability to communicate well with others in a diverse community
Ability to follow instructions to complete specific tasks and work neatly and independently without direct supervision;
Must have a valid state driver’s license, and safely drive our delivery vehicle.
Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
