The School of Continuing and Professional Studies at DePaul University invites expressions of interest in part-time faculty teaching opportunities including online, hybrid, and on-campus. Part-time teaching opportunities are available throughout the academic year. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview. Academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter and the School will work with selected individuals to determine a quarterly schedule. Courses are not guaranteed; however the School does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations.
Required Qualifications: To teach at the undergraduate level, a Masters degree in one of the following areas; to teach at the graduate level including co-listed courses, a Doctorate in of the following areas:
Business (various subfields) Healthcare (various subfields including Gerontology and Administration) Non-profit (various subfields including Administration) Psychology (various subfields) Data Analytics Risk Management and related areas Sales and Marketing Management
Adult Education
Demonstrated experience in teaching adult learners.
If you do not possess a Masters degree in one of the above fields, you must have one of the following:
1. Completion of a minimum of 18 credit student hours at the masters level in the discipline to be taught AND/OR
2. Tested experience demonstrating a breadth and depth of experience outside of the classroom in real-world situations relevant to the discipline to be taught commensurate with 18 graduate hours. Examples include graduate coursework, professional licensure and/or certifications, professional experience (not less than 10 years), scholarly contributions, and special awards or other noteworthy accomplishments, relevant to the teaching assignment.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience in working in teaching in an diverse learning environment.
