This position coordinates the application process of the Summer Experience Fund, an annual award program that provides qualified students with funding to conduct unpaid summer experiences. The Coordinator helps ensure that applications are completed and processed fairly and accurately, helping students access needed funds to complete an unpaid summer experience.
Primary Job Duties:
Administration & Coordination: Process applications, sort application bundles to correct staff/office for review and selection, grade short answer questions, notify students, maintain and organize award recipientsâ™ materials, and providing all follow-up as necessary. Ensure that award recipients are notified and receive their award in a timely manner. Manage the technical aspects of the application process through Qualtrics, Box, and Microsoft Excel. Ensure that recipients complete an evaluation of the program and participate in donor appreciation efforts.
Promotion: Work with SEF Manager to promote the program to students.
Overall, the Coordinator needs to have a facility for analyzing and managing new policies and procedures including application materials. The Coordinator will work with the SEF Manager to review the strengths and challenges of the new procedure and to make recommendations that ensure the continued growth and success of the program.
The Coordinator will work closely with the SEF Manager and other members of the Career Development team to process applications and select award winners. The Coordinator will work with the Business office to ensure that annual awards equate to the amount of funds raised through the year, and will process those funds with care and efficiency.
Qualifications:
⢠Associate's degree is required and at least 3 years experience in office setting ⢠Highly organized, with great attention to detail ⢠Adept at creating and evaluating new processes and procedures ⢠Excellent communication skills (oral and written); experience working in higher education a plus ⢠Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management ⢠Ability to work on a team with many partners
