Job Summary: Connecticut College is conducting a regional search for a part time Snack Shop Attendant to work evenings, Monday 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Saturday 8:00 p.m. - 2:30 a.m. and Sunday 5:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.. This position is part time, 22 hours/week for 30 weeks during the academic school year, August through May. Sick leave benefits available. Position will remain open until filled. Position pays $17.83/hour.
General Duties & Responsibilities: The Snack Shop Attendant will be responsible for food preparation, set-up of work areas, short order cooking, sanitation of areas, cash register operation and frequent customer service. The Attendant must be able to communicate with students and other campus customers about menu offerings and ingredients, have the ability to work under pressure, as business has periods of high volume; and work in a team environment.
Qualifications: Requires flexibility with job assignments, basic math skills, read, write and converse in English; ability to follow directions; lift 50lbs; work both independently and as part of a team, and some supervision of student workers.
Applicant Credentialing: Thorough applicant credentialing, including criminal records check and pre-placement physical will be conducted on the selected applicant.
