Position Description: Working independently, but under the general supervision of the Specialty Assistant Medical Director, the gynecology specialist physician will provide gynecology care on a consultative basis to the students of UCLA. The gynecology specialist will provide comprehensive gynecologic and contraceptive care to UCLA students, including medication abortion services and in-office diagnostic ultrasound. The gynecology specialist will be privileged in all medical procedures required to carry out their work at the Ashe Center including performing in office gynecologic procedures as well as providing pre- and post gynecology procedure care. The gynecology specialist will be involved in the training and education of primary care clinicians about gynecologic care and procedures. The physician will participate in the Ashe Center's quality improvement plan, and will strive towards excellence in the competencies outlined in this plan.
Special Instructions: PLEASE NOTE: This is a Limited Appointment. We have two (2) job openings for this role. Work hours may vary based on operational needs in the Gynecology Services clinic. The Ashe Center's regular business hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. Hours may include evenings and/or weekends. The minimum salary for this position is $11,346.15/month at 100% working time, however, because this is a limited position, salary will be pro-rated based on actual hours of work every month.
