Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School is seeking to hire a Head Field Hockey Coach for grades 9 through 12 student-athletes. The head coach will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to all facets of the Field Hockey program in advancing the mission of Wyoming Seminary and the Athletics Department. The head coach will report directly to the Director of Athletics and the Athletic Department.
Wyoming Seminary's field hockey program is a member of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association. Sem plays in the Wyoming Valley Conference, District 2, and competes in the A Classification at the state level. All activities shall be conducted within the policies and resource framework of Wyoming Seminary, the Athletics Department, the PIAA, and the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS).
The Wyoming Seminary girls' field hockey program is steeped in tradit on. Field hockey has been part of the Wyoming Seminary athletic program since the early 19 0s. In fact, Sem was a pioneer, introducing field hockey to the greater Scranton and Wilkes-Barre areas. The program is also steeped in success.

Working with the Athletic Department on scheduling exhibition and non-league games.
Working with the Admission Office when potential field hockey players who are mission appropriate apply to join the school community.
Oversight of the development and progress of each student-athlete on and off the field.
Clear communication with parents regarding program expectations, culture, practice schedules, etc.
Work collaboratively with the Director of Athletics and Athletic Department colleagues, Upper and Lower School faculty and staff, and the broader school community.
Oversight of school field hockey equipment and uniforms.
Potential for teaching or other full-time roles on campus based on availability.
Demonstrated head coaching experience at the college, prep, or high school level is preferred but not required.
A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to mentor and help navigate the college recruiting process.
