Stone Ridge is looking for a part-time facilities and shuttle driver. This individual will perform daily facility walk throughs across 300,000 square feet of built space and 35 acres of grounds. Following each walk through, this position will submit work orders so that the Maintenance and Housekeeping teams can perform repairs to all issues that are identified. (Examples include: cobwebs, light bulbs that need replacement, broken desks, doors not closing properly and downed tree limbs). 

In addition, this position is responsible for driving one of the Stone Ridge 14-passenger shuttle buses for the purpose of bringing students safely from campus to the Medical Center Metro station. This is a local route that is only one mile each way. 

The hours for the position are from 2:30-7:00 on all school days (M-Fri), except during holidays and school breaks. Hourly pay is $25 per hour. 

Duties:

• Operate a 14-passenger Ford 350 conversion minibus.
• Drive through traffic and obey traffic laws.
• Follow state and federal transit regulations.
• Assist with afternoon/evening traffic control when needed.
• Assist in all areas of the Facilities Department, including daily facility walk throughs

Essential skills and experience: 

• High school degree or equivalent required
• A valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Commercial Driver's license not required, but desired
• Ability to use a computer and input data into a third party website
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the public
