Part-time PK to Grade 2
Tenacre Country Day School is seeking a part-time lower school instructional technology substitute for January 9-February 21st. Tenacre’s mission is to nurture and challenge each child, every day. Everything we do is designed to enhance this all-important balance over a broad range of homeroom and special subjects, along with other activities. Instructional Technology Substitute
At Tenacre, we want our students to experience technology instruction that develops skills in logic, sequencing, programming, and design thinking, while also focusing on mastery of software and hardware tools. Interdisciplinary projects support the application of technology skills and help students use technology to demonstrate understanding.

Qualifications:
Must be enthusiastic, energetic, and enjoy working with children in Grades PK to 2nd grade
Successful candidates will have some experience teaching, effective and respectful class management skills, be team-oriented, and possessflexibility and a strong work ethic
Experience with Google Docs, Google Classroom, and Seesaw is helpful but not required as we will train the successful candidate
Bachelor’s degreerequired
Experience teaching technology at the elementary school level is desirable, but not required
Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of platforms
Ability to promote a positive learning environment that includes behavior management techniques appropriate to the needs of students in PK-2
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Tenacre School is a small, co-educational day school for children in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Six. Our mission is to "nurture and challenge each child, every day." Tenacre enrolls 194 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th Grade, and has a teaching staff of 35, including special subject teachers for science, Spanish, art, technology, library, music, P.E., and Spanish. Tenacre also has resource teachers for reading and math to maintain small group learning. Supporting the operation of the school are the academic, admission/enrollment, business, and development offices.

Tenacre has a warm, welcoming work environment. All staff are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities throughout the year, from community service projects with students, or acting in an annual faculty/staff play, to talking with the students about a hobby or trip during an assembly, or even attending "tadpole graduation" with third graders in the spring! Everyone on the staff works to enhance the learning experience of the children from direct teaching, to maintaining the facilities, to providing a nutritious lunch each day.
