You will be directly supporting lead Financial Advisors in a high-energy, team-based atmosphere. You'll also gain career-building skills and knowledge in the financial planning industry.
AFP is looking to hire an intern over summer break. We are looking for someone with a great attitude who will enjoy coming to work and serving clients as much as we do. Attention to detail and the ability to work with other team members are a must. Required to work 20-25 hours per week. There is potential to continue some hours after the summer break ends if desirable. AFP's summer internship program is scheduled around your school break. Summer internships are paid positions
Entering and examining financial data
Reviewing and interpreting financial statements
Performing numerical calculations
Preparing preliminary Financial Advisor Proposals and Asset Allocations
Running hypothetical illustrations
Preparing visual aids for client meetings (e.g., charts, graphs, tables)
Minimum 3.0 GPA
A genuine interest in the financial services industry
Detail oriented, strong math and analytical skills
Good organization and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritizes effectively
Strong computer and software skills
Good interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
