The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Short-Term Casual to join our team in a temporary part time position to work within the Division of Child & Adolescent Health. Columbia University Irving Medical Center???s Department of Pediatrics is a world leader in providing care for children. Our mission areas include Healthcare, Education and Research. We also have several active Clinical trials available to our patients. This position will support the department by providing research support to Dr. Dani Dumitriu's lab in the Division of Child & Adolescent Health.
Responsibilities
Carry out lab tests and assays, as directed
Run complex animal behavioral assays with other lab members
Follow-up on experiments by organizing, processing and reporting the results to the direct supervisor
Assist the lab manager in identifying supplies and chemicals for reorder.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Graduate or Equivalency required.
Preferred Qualifications
A positive and collaborative attitude
Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team
Previous experience in a neuroscience lab and/or with mice in a lab environment
Strong organizational skills.
