About the Opportunity:
Brown University is undergoing a tremendous growth in the arts, with newly appointed leadership for the Brown Arts Institute, and the state of the art, one of a kind Lindemann Performing Arts Center scheduled to open in Fall 2023. Responsibilities:
We seek to hire a Production Coordinator who assists in the planning and physical realization of all production needs of the Brown Arts Institute, including performances, coursework, exhibitions, and special events taking place in the Granoff Center and the Lindemann Performing Arts Center.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Required: Â BA or BFA
Preferred: BA or BFA in technical theater or related field
1-3 years in technical theater management, stage management, or performance art-related field, including a broad skill-set including experience in audio, video, lighting, and signal routing
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
Experience in installation and fabrication a plus
Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment
The Production Coordinator is a part-time, on-call position (< half-time) whose schedule is dependent on the BAIâ™s production calendar.  Some weeks, there may not be any production needs; during others, there may be 40 hours of work. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of the Brown Arts Institute, the Production Coordinator must be versed in a wide variety of production needs. Evening and weekend work should be expected.
