The Harris School at the University of Chicago is seeking a Facilities Associate. This nine-month position is from September 15 through June 15 and will report to the Assistant Director of Facilities.
Setting up furniture tables and/or chairs for large groups.
Setting up and breaking down of furniture indoors and outdoors.
Opening and closing the panel doors as part of set-up for events.
Empty trash and recycling containers.
Other duties as assigned.
Must lift at lease 50lbs.
Must be reliable and able to work as a team.
Take direction and work alone.
Communication skills, verbal and written.
Skill interacting with students and faculty.
Computerized scheduling, word processing, email. Â
Education, Experience, or Certifications:
High School Diploma is required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience working in academic setting preferred.
Minimum one year administrative or facilities work required.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
This position requires an individual who can work on evenings and Saturdays.
An example of the flexible hours could be: Wednesday through Saturday from 3 pm to 8 pm or 4 pm to 9 pm.
20-25 hours per week.
