Working collaboratively with the assigned Data Specialist and/or the Program Coordinator, the AE Data and Assessment Specialist assists in proctoring and scoring diagnostic assessments to Adult Education students. This position will also instruct students in the local detention center. The AE Data and Assessment Specialist reports to the assigned Data Specialist and/or the Program Coordinator.
Hours per Week: 22 hours
Work Days per Week: Monday- Thursday
Work Hours: Assessment 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday Detention Center Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Salary: $18.00 per hour
The AE Data and Assessment Specialist will proctor and score diagnostic assessments for adult students, primarily TABE and CASAS assessments.
Assists in the security and maintenance of test materials.
Assists in preparing student folders and maintaining records of student progress.
Participates in retention and follow-up activities.
Plans and provides instruction in adult basic education, academic skills instruction, GED preparation, reading/math instruction, and workplace instruction for eligible adults in a corrections/detention center setting
Adaptive in understanding other perspectives and cultures.
Assesses and monitors learning.
Maintains lesson plans and syllabi for each course taught
Works as an effective member of the team to ensure the success of all students.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (related field) and four years of experience, or equivalent.
Score of NRS level 6 in Reading and Math on the TABE A 11/12 assessment
