The Buckley School, a leading K – 12 independent school in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County has an opening for a qualified junior varsity tennis coach to lead the boy’s team in the Spring and assist in coaching the girl’s varsity tennis team in the Fall. 

Duties include organizing and running practices, game coaching, reporting scores to the media and overseeing individual and team conditioning workouts. Additional tasks may include compiling statistics, securing athletic equipment and administering basic first aid.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Buckley School is seeking a qualified junior varsity tennis coach to lead the boy’s team in the Spring and assist in coaching the girl’s varsity tennis team in the Fall. Responsibilities include helping to organize and run practices, coaching at games, scouting and overseeing individual and team conditioning workouts. Additional tasks may include compiling statistics and administering basic first aid.

REQUIRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    Previous coaching or competitive tennis experience at the high school or collegiate level
•    Bachelor’s degree
•    Experience coaching girls’/boys’ teams
•    Be outgoing and friendly
•    Enthusiastic for the sport

This is a temporary position from late August to mid-May or later depending on post-season play.  Compensation is commensurate with tennis coaching experience.
