Louisiana Tech University is seeking applications for the role of Assistant Director of Compliance Services. The position is a 12-month position with an option for an additional 12-months. The Assistant Director of Compliance Services will report directly to the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance Services and will assist in monitoring compliance with NCAA (Bylaws 11, 12, 13, 16 & 17), CUSA and LA Tech rules and regulations.
Job duties include but are not limited to: •Serving as athletics compliance liaison to tickets. Assist with the complimentary admissions processes. •Assisting in declaration of playing seasons and monitoring time management plans to ensure compliance with NCAA rules. •Assisting with the NCAA Transfer Portal. •Assisting in monitoring of recruiting activities including official visits, unofficial visits, telephone calls, and contacts and evaluations. •Approving and monitoring institutional and non-institutional camp and clinic activities. •Coordinating and monitoring the student-athlete employment program. •Assist in the monitoring of name, image, and likeness activities. •Assisting the Athletic Department with projects as needed.
Qualifications The ideal candidate would have the following: •Masters degree or other graduate degree is preferred •One year of experience in athletics administration at the Division I level is preferred, especially NCAA Division I compliance experience. •Knowledge of Microsoft Office, NCAA and other athletics compliance-related software systems (e.g., NCAA CA, LSDBI, RSRO, Frontrush, and TeamWorks). •Ability to effectively communicate through oral, written and electronic forms. •Skill in time management. •Skill in sound decision-making. •Ability to communicate with and relate to student-athletes, coaches, athletic department staff and representative of the institution's athletic interests. •Ability to uphold high ethical standards and core values, maintains integrity, has professional demeanor and understands professional boundaries.
This position will receive a $2,000 monthly stipend. This position requires work during non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, and holidays).
