English as Second Language (ESL) Instructor Part-Time (Boone Campus)

Gateway Community & Technical College invites applications for a part-time ESL Instructor. This part-time position will be responsible for 18 hours of instruction for non-native english speakers for enrollees in the Boone County Adult Ed program.
Instuction will in-person and a minimum of 2 classes per week.
** Grant Funded
Record keeping and documentation of student progress is required of all instructors
Be able to use a variety of instructional strategies and tools as appropriate
Instruction will include English reading, writing, and speaking instruction to improve employability, citizenship, and basic skills.
Other duties as assigned.
**Must be able to pass the Test of Adult Basic Education Advanced Reading at an NRS Level 6
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
Prior experience teaching Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening to non-native speakers
Data management and record maintenance
Experience with educational technology and excellent digital literacy skills
Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
Experience working at the community college level is preferred.
