SFC New England, Est. 2000, is under the umbrella of Winchester Soccer Club, Est. 1961, which is continuing to be a leader in youth soccer development. Our goal is to cultivate the soccer experience of young players in Massachusetts by providing them with an opportunity to improve both as athletes and people by fostering an identity of excellence. We understand that soccer can play a very critical role in young players’ lives, both at a competitive level and as a developmental tool. While developing individual skills and fitness, we will also stress hard work, dedication, fair play, and teamwork. Ultimately, we strive to produce players who can compete at the highest levels of soccer throughout the region. The club offers teams spanning U8-U19 for both girls and boys. We are actively looking to hire a Youth Development Leader and Staff Coach role to further our mission of providing an exceptional and accessible youth soccer experience. The Director will coach 4 teams at the U9 age group: two girls’ teams and two boys’ teams as well as run our Development Academy sessions.

Reporting to the Director of Coaching (DOC), the Youth Development Leader will lead the youngest age cohort for the club. The Director will also staff camps and clinics throughout the year. The job requires transportation and the ability to coach from 4pm to 7pm each day of the week. The Director is responsible for meeting the Club’s overall objectives relative to player and team development within this age groups and ensuring a cohesive progression into and out of the age group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coach U9 age group teams for both boys and girls (4 teams total)
• Head our Development Academy groups (U8 boys and girls) 2 times per week per age group
• Staff clinics and camps sponsored by SFC and its partners
• Assist DOC with design and administration of team tryouts
• Expand club programming
• General clerical duties related to efficient running of club

Licensure: USSF D/F license or USC equivalent preferred, or equivalent foreign licensure

Playing Experience: College or Elite Club preferred

Coaching Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years of youth coaching experience

Education: College Degree preferred
