About the Position: The College of Education is home to more than 1200 credential and graduate students. The College of Education's work focuses on closing the opportunity gap. The College's impact is notable given the fact that we credential the largest number of teachers of any public institution in the state of California and have the largest Ed.D. program in the CSU system. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology (MSIDT) program as the Administrative Support Coordinator I. The Administrative Support Coordinator I is responsible for the coordination of clerical and administrative support functions in support of the Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology program and serves as liaison to the Dean's office. Oversees program operations including part-time faculty contracts, grade sheets, textbook ordering, and scheduling. Researches and resolves problems based on knowledge of the university, college, and program policies and procedures. Responds to the problems and needs of students and faculty. Plans program retreats, seminars, and meetings. Assists with event coordination for orientation and research meetings. Plans and coordinates the schedule of classes while taking into account factors such as space utilization by other departments within the College of Education. Assists the Director in preparing reports for the Dean's office, Provost VPAA's office, and the Chancellor's Office. Assists with maintaining budgets for MSIDT Program accounts and associate procurement cards. Reconciles monthly OE&E budget. Coordinates support for the administration of appointments for the Director and Graduate Adviser assures accuracy of student files for accreditation review. Maintains contact with offices across the campus such as Admissions, Records, the Scheduling Office, and Graduate Studies. Develops and maintains comprehensive office manuals. Oversees the general organization and maintenance of a positive office appearance and atmosphere. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications: High School diploma or the equivalent and four years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Thorough knowledge of office systems with the ability to use a range of technology, systems and software packages. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math including calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data, and making simple projections. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports. Ability to handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of California State University, Fullerton admissions registration and enrollment procedures. Knowledge of CMS, College of Education Database. Working knowledge of California State University, Fullerton's budget policies and procedures.
Experience overseeing the work of others, such as student assistants. Significant experience maintaining and updating database records. Ability to quickly learn and interpret newly developed programs. Strong customer service experience. Ability to multitask.
Occasional early morning, evening, and weekend hours to provide support for department events.
