The Director of Operations for Women’s Volleyball reports to the Head Coach, Giovana Melo, or designee. As an employee of California State University, Bakersfield, you are expected to perform all the duties described below in a manner consistent with the university and department's overall mission. The enhancement of our student-athletes' academic well-being, quality of life, athletic growth, and overall character development represent the primary mission of the Athletics Department. Primary responsibilities are to assist the Head Coach in the overall operations of the Women’s Volleyball program. Duties will include the following: All video editing and breakdown of the video at the direction of the coaching staff, pre-scout film breakdown and capture, game-day operations, filming of all (practices and games), statistics in practices and games, locker room management, team calendars/daily schedules, team travel, gear, and team equipment management, travel, camps, social media, marketing of games, community service, development of projects, and assist with any team events, and any special duties requested by the head coach.
Must be passionate about volleyball and understand the game. Also, must be a self-starter, energetic, organized, articulate, and computer literate, with strong organizational and communication skills. In addition, must demonstrate knowledge of NCAA compliance rules. The successful candidate shall be a person of integrity with high ethical standards, exhibit a strict allegiance to the university, department, and NCAA rules and regulations, and a solid commitment to student achievement in academics.
