The College of Arts and Sciences Office of Communications and Marketing manages a variety of digital platforms that supply the information needs of the College's primary audiences (prospective students and parents, current students, faculty, and staff). The person in this role works with a team responsible for articulating and amplifying the value of the College and its mission of research, teaching, and service. Our primary charge is to support the recruitment of new students to the College's degree programs through compelling email, web, print, and social media marketing. To support these processes, we seek a Content and Web Producer with experience in creating and maintaining content for digital platforms.
Produce and manage content on the College's digital marketing platforms under the direct supervision of the College's Director of Communications and Marketing and Web Projects Manager. The CWP will create and edit content, design, publish, and leverage content across platforms to optimize its impact to audiences. The CWP must work comfortably and flexibly as part of a team to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
Content creation for the College's web platforms, including the College website and department websites. Responsible for a variety of content creation tasks including writing, editing, and copyediting to maintain a compelling, rich, and relevant information environment for the College and its departments and programs. Works under the Director of Communications and Marketing and the Web Projects Manager to determine project assignments and deadlines. Obtaining, organizing, and managing visual assets, permissions, approvals and other necessary aspects of content development and management are also components of this role.
Works with the WCMS, LiveWhale, and other digital platforms to design, produce, and display content for the College's websites, creating high-quality web pages. Makes updates to College websites and provides support to departments.
High school diploma or GED.
1 year of experience in communications, marketing, or related field.
Outstanding editing and copyediting skills.
Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work competently in digital marketing platforms and tools.
Willingness to train, adapt, and learn new skills in a fast-changing field.
Detail oriented and possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
Working Conditions / Demands
This is a team, office environment, on campus position.
Equipment utilized: computers, cameras, digital marketing tools.
