OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST – OTR/L
Part Time - Hourly / Full Time Salary
Timeframe to fill position: Immediately, 1-3 weeks
The position requires providing a wide range of direct services to pediatric to young-adult clients including assessments and evaluations, direct service provision, progress reporting, familial involvement, training/mentoring, multi-disciplinary collaboration and direct 1:1 services in a clinical environment and also a Center-Based, day treatment program.

Engage with clinical team members daily to create a positive, fun, and professional team oriented culture in a fast-paced and expanding diverse group practice.
Enter progress notes on a daily basis and comply with provider terms and conditions
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and timely to keep goals and objectives of the organization moving forward.
Must have diverse prior clinical experience developing, writing, implementing and evaluating individuals for Occupational Therapy Services which shall also include working with patients using (AAC) Alternative and Augmentative Communication Technologies.
Prior experience collaborating and coaching other therapeutic disciplines in standards for providing evidence-based, best practice, Occupational Therapy service delivery.
Must have clinical working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and policy practices and standards of performance.
Strong experience in administering a variety of OT assessments and evaluations
Prior clinical and/or educational experience working 1:1 with clients/learners for extended periods of time.
Prior experience working full caseload of clients for at least an 18 month period (35+ clients)
Experience working collectively among executive leadership, a multi-disciplinary team, directors, administrative staff, while supporting a diverse clientele and busy schedule.
Demonstrate discretion and the ability to maintain confidential and private information.
Demonstrate compliance regarding training of internal company policies and procedures.
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of SC medical billing practices and policies to ensure compliance with state agencies including, DDSN, DHHS, Private Insurance Carriers, ADA and SC State Medicaid/Healthy Connections, SC Medicaid Waivers, and more.
Strong knowledge using PC, MAC, IPAD pro, and TouchIt technologies.
Basic knowledge or exposure to use of Augmentative & Alternative Communication Hi-Tech Speech Devices in a therapy session – preferred skill but not required.
Strong knowledge of Central Reach Behavioral Health & Medical Billing Software.
Strong working knowledge of Central Reach Data Collection Module
Strong working knowledge of Google eSuite Platform: Drive, Calendar, Meetings, Etc.
Some conceptual and working knowledge with IEP third party software platforms
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint and Icloud technologies
Strong working knowledge of office technologies, such as fax, scanner,label makers, laminating machine, printers, walkie-talkies, etc.

Strong written, oral and soft communication skills required
Strong organizational and electronic record keeping skills required

Educational & Licensing Requirements
Must be in possession of a current SC state license to practice and be able to provide NPI Number (preferred but not required)
Must be registered with National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Must have Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
Minimum 5-10 years of experience across an educational and/or clinical setting for ages birth to 21
Additional certification in NDT and SPD preferred, not required
Beautiful Gate Center is a multidisciplinary, integrated developmental learning center and therapeutic group practice in Charleston, SC. The first of its kind in South Carolina, BGC will begin serving children and youth with developmental disabilities and autism in July 2021. Our outpatient practice will offer Speech & Language Pathology, OT and ABA. We will accept most major insurance plans, as well as SC Medicaid. Our intensive, full-day, year-round developmental learning program is designed to give learners maximum access to evidence-based practices and cutting edge care. Learners will receive 1:1 instruction based on the principles of ABA.
