Green Acres School seeks a Divisional Assistant to provide administrative support to the Middle School Head and teachers. The Assistant will also provide coordination for the high school application process and Division events and activities.
Areas of Responsibility include:
Serve as a key link between families and the Middle School division—addressing questions and providing information to parents.
Serve as a vital resource to students, teachers, and administrative staff members regarding the Middle School programs, processes, and activities.
Serve as a sounding board for the Middle School Head
Support the new Middle School Head in their transition to this role at Green Acres
Assist the Lower and Middle School Heads, to teachers, and to administrative colleagues as needed.
Manage the calendars for the Middle School Head.
Attend division meetings. Attend the MS Unit Deans’ meetings. Attend team meetings, as needed.
Schedule, coordinate, help plan, and communicate school events. Events include student-led conferences, parent coffees, Back-to-School nights, graduation dinner, and 8th grade graduation, etc.
Collaborate with and support the Assistant to the Advancement Office, the Assistant to the Head of School, the Associate Director of Communication, and the Lower School Division Assistant and others, as needed.
Coordinate the “applying out process” for 8th grade students and any other students applying out and their teachers who are writing recommendations.
Coordinate Middle School standardized testing with the MS Unit Deans.
Maintain e-filing system for student confidential records.
Edit narrative report cards with the Division Head.
Supervise lunch and recess duties, as assigned.

Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and databases, such as Axiom

Desirable qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred
Experience or training related to education or child development
