Gateway Community & Technical College invites applications for an Accounting Adjunct Faculty. This part-time faculty position will providea instruction to students in both Managerial and Financial accounting. Also may be asked to teach other courses as needed in Business Administration.
Provide instruction to students in both theory and practice incorporating various teaching methods and materials to assist students with differing educational experiences, experiential backgrounds, and learning styles to assist them in meeting course competencies.
Evaluate students' progress toward stated course competencies and inform them of their progress in a timely manner.
Provide quality and timely access to students and communicates availability through appropriate methods such as posted campus/office hours and electronic communication.
Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, and the community.
Maintenance and care of classrooms and training materials will also be expected.
Keep abreast of changes in the respective field and help keep the program updated.
Teach at various levels to help support the College.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Certifications, and Licenses:
Associate degree in Accounting, or Business Administration with accounting coursework, OR a related field with Business Administration and Accounting coursework. Bachelor's preferred.
Experience:
Two years of work experience in the Accounting field or equivalent.
Experience with Blackboard and teaching online is preferred.
Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
Experience working at the community college level is preferred.
